Business Finance

Track dues, borrowings, and settlements

Business Finance tracks money expected from customers (receivables), money owed to others (payables), and borrowing or credit balances. Add a due date and party when recording these items so the workspace can show follow-up and overdue information.

Record a settlement

  1. Find the receivable, payable, or borrowing entry in Recent transactions.
  2. Open its settlement action and enter the amount, date, and relevant account.
  3. Save and confirm the remaining balance and linked settlement history.

Partial settlements are supported; repeat the action as money moves until the outstanding balance is cleared. Recording a planned due does not change cash balances until a settlement is recorded.

Due-soon and overdue reminders may appear in Business Finance and through configured workspace email. An undelivered reminder does not change the underlying finance entry. Use the date-range reports to review ageing and outstanding amounts, and verify external payments against source evidence before relying on the cashbook.
