Tasks and files

Use notes, subtasks, and attachments

Open a task in My Planner or an action in Assigned to Me to see its detail panel. Notes record progress and discussion; subtasks divide a task into assignable actions; attachments hold supporting files.

Add context

  1. Select the task or action you are permitted to access.
  2. Add a daily note with the relevant progress or discussion. Check the selected date before saving.
  3. Create an action within your task and assign it to an active workspace member when the form offers assignment.
  4. Use the attachment control to upload a supported file, then confirm that it appears in the list. Authorized people can download it from the same task or action.

Files are private to the workspace and count toward its storage allowance. Access follows the related task or action; a download link is not a public share link. The service checks file type and size and may reject a file that exceeds limits or available storage. See upload problems if the file does not save.

Deleting a note, action, attachment, or task can remove context for others. Read the confirmation before proceeding.
